EXTERIORS I: MISE EN SCENE

I wrote for the Interiors Series that Mise en scene are my favorite kind of shot to compile, since by their emptiness they indicate every kind of potentiality in every kind of dimension (dwarves, deaths, and dames, if you're David Lynch, for example).

With these outdoor scenarios, however, I feel there is something much more sinister in the crafting of space; I spend more time at each location, of course because there is a wider range of sensory stimulus, but also because with that wider sense of space comes a wider range of potential threat.

Investigate with me. And click on any image to get closer (if you dare!).
